Concepts are formed from experience and other pre-existing mental content by abstraction and other operations in the brain.
Origination

Critical Discourse
Critical discourse is the use of spoken or written language in a social context by using skills, experiences, reasons and abstract-ideas.

Critical thinking is that mode of thinking about any subject, content, or problem in which the thinker improves the quality of his or her thinking by skillfully analyzing, assessing, and reconstructing it. Critical thinking is self-directed, self-disciplined, self-monitored, and self-corrective thinking. It presupposes assent to rigorous standards of excellence and mindful command of their use. It entails effective communication and problem-solving abilities, as well as a commitment to overcome our native egocentrism and sociocentrism.

Creative thinking is specific thought processes which improve the ability to be creative. Being in an optimal state of mind for generating new ideas. To think deliberately in ways that improve the likelihood of new thoughts occurring. To maximize the ability of the brain to think of new ideas. The art of video games exhibition
This video is a trailer of 'The art of video games exhibition'. I'm not a big fan of video games but I think this is a very interesting exhibition. Video games are a kind of media art and lots of 2D, 3D and other techniques are needed to create good video games. It is good to know about the art of video games...this could be a good inspiration and idea for art work or 2D&3D design.
Exhibition information
The Art of Video Games is one of the first exhibitions to explore the forty-year evolution of video games as an artistic medium, with a focus on striking visual effects and the creative use of new technologies. It features some of the most influential artists and designers during five eras of game technology, from early pioneers to contemporary designers. The exhibition focuses on the interplay of graphics, technology and storytelling through some of the best games for twenty gaming systems ranging from the Atari VCS to the PlayStation 3. Eighty games, selected with the help of the public, demonstrate the evolution of the medium. The games are presented through still images and video footage. In addition, the galleries will include video interviews with twenty developers and artists, large prints of in-game screen shots, and historic game consoles. Chris Melissinos, founder of Past Pixels and collector of video games and gaming systems, is the curator of the exhibition. The Art of Video Games exhibition is on view at the Smithsonian American Art Museum until September 30, 2012.
