• What type of organisation is IDEO?

             An international design and innovation consultancy which designs and innovates new ways to  support people needs, behaviors and desires

• What are the different processes they employ in design research?

              A multidisciplinary team brainstormed, research, prototyped, and gathered user feedback on a design that went from idea to a working appearance model in four days

• How did they define the range and scope of the problem? 

              They considered issues such as maneuverability, shopping behavior, child safety, and maintenance cost.

• How could you apply their methodology to developing a concept for your exhibition piece?  

      According to their processes
-     Multidisciplinary team brainstormed : apply by brainstorming and discussing with the others to gain and share some different ideas and knowledge
-     Research : conduct research on a concept to get information and inspiration
-     Define the range and scope by looking at main point and goal of the concept

ABC Nightline - IDEO Shopping Cart

          This is a video related to the questions above. It was a project (1999) of redesign of the shopping cart for Nightline, ABC's late-night news show, to demonstrate its process and the show concentrated on IDEO's design process. This is very creative design and their process is useful and can be applied in my work. They did a really good job in just a few days.
